VFX Challenge Day 7: Vlady Veselinov’s Dissolving Ring
I loved Breath of the Wild’s VFX. They were able to mix
different styles and types of effects for a large variety of environments,
motions, and situations and nothing felt out of place. So I decided to see about recreating some of these effects and found Vlady Veselinov’s Dissolving Ring tutorial for UE4. One change I
did make, was to swap the noise node into a texture sample, because they are
less expensive and it seems it can be scaled more easily.
